Boogie-Woogie Dancers Free standing sculpture Powder-coated rebar 70 x 24 18$4200. Los Angeles artist Camey McGilvray celebrates the Jazz Age in this freestanding sculpture, Boogie-Woogie Dancers. As in all of McGilivray's work, hard edge rules and line is everything. Visual references are simplified and concepts are reduced to bare minimum. Line is then translated into rebar, and bent, welded and powder-coated into three-dimensional existence. This piece captures the exuberance and rhythm of the original Jazz Age dancers doing the boogie-woogie.
