"Draped Figure" Sassafras & Bronze, Figurative Sculpture, 1982
Located in Detroit, MI
"Draped Figure" is a beautiful example of Tazian's ability to meld the smooth texture of wood and the hard texture of bronze into an exquisite object to view, hold or caress. The piece balances perfectly on its stone base and can be easily turned to enjoy from all angles.
Like architects Eliel Saarinan and Albert Kahn and sculptor Corrado Parducci, Tazian is an immigrant creative who has found a home in the city, nurtured by its energy and sheltered by its community.
He developed an early ambition to become an artist, even though he had very little exposure to the arts. ““The only person [who encouraged me] was my 5th grade English teacher, Olivia Balian,” he says. “She really opened the doors of art for me. She said, ‘Those students who are interested in art can stay behind after school and I will show you how to paint and draw.’ Somehow [that] changed my life– she gave me that spark.”
Tazian came to the U.S. to study at St. Francis College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He earned a bachelor’s degree in art and a Master’s in Art Education, and then earned and MFA in sculpture from Wayne State University in Detroit.
Kegham Tazian is an award-winning sculptor and painter. The Armenian-born artist has gained notoriety for the diversity of his work and the variety of media exemplified in his pieces. A blend of modernism, realism and abstraction are commonly depicted in his paintings and sculptures.
His artwork has been represented in more than 40 solo exhibitions and more than 75 group exhibitions throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. His work adorns the entrances and halls of major corporations, universities and municipalities, including Siemens Corporation, Huntington Bank, Wayne State University and the city halls of Farmington and Farmington Hills...

Bronze Wall Hanging Sculpture, Verdigris Patina
By Ilana Goor
Located in Surfside, FL
Ilana Goor is an individualistic, autodidactic, intuitive and multifaceted artist. As an artist who knows no boundaries and whose art transcends any conventions, her creations are a blend of vitality and obsession, functional simplicity alongside expressive complexity bordering on surrealism. Her sources of inspiration are neither time nor place-dependent. They create a personal statement, a journey replete with meaning and they succeed in touching and moving people the world over.
Goor was born in Tiberias to an educated and distinguished family of highly respected doctors and artists. She never studied art or design in any formal setting. She developed her artistic techniques on her own from an early age, when she used various parts to create small statues. She is considered to be an international multidisciplinary artist. Her works encompass sculptures, furniture, judaica, lighting fixtures, jewelry and fashion items which are displayed in well known galleries worldwide and are distinguished by their powerful, dominant presence.
She first came to the United States in her 20s and captured the hearts of the locals with her large-buckle belts for men which paved her artistic path in North America. Since then Ilana Goor was requested to install statues in major public locations and exhibited her works in museums throughout Europe, America, Japan and Israel. Ilana Goor designed jewelry, buckles and sold belts to most major department stores in America including I Magnin, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Saks Fifth Ave. and in Japan.
In 1986 Ilana Goor introduced a collection of iron furniture and accessories to the American marketplace as limited editions signed by the artist.
She was awarded the Roscoe award for Best Design in residential seating in 1988.
Her works are presently displayed in sixteen decorator and designer showrooms throughout the United States. Her iron furniture collection was displayed in the Israel Museum, Jerusalem in1987 and in 1993 Ilana Goor introduced her collection of furniture in Japan...

Ramp Figure, Bronze Sculpture, Black color by Modern Indian Artist "In Stock"
Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
K.S. Radhakrishnan - Ramp Figure
Bronze Sculpture
H 13 x W 10 x D 6 inches
K.S. Radhakrishnan working with Musui & Maiya, Musui potraits has a hand Rickshaw puller as is still prevalent in few parts of Bengal.
The bronze figures are elfin, mischievous, airy, acrobatic, and archaic, delicately balancing on one hand or leg. He renders a sensuous quality to his works by deploying extraordinary body movements of his figures.
Radhakrishnan is a distinctive and appealing presence on the modern Indian sculpture scene. He says: “For me bronze works best because it is strong, and brings out the character of my sculptures. Although it takes time, the process also becomes a part of my art form.”
Style : K.S Radhakrishnan is one of the most notable among the new generation of sculptors. Like many of his contempories he is a figurative sculptor, but his preference for modelling and bronze casting sets him apart from the rest of them. Recharging age old sculptural processes with a new sensibility, thus is the singular challenge he brings to modern Indian sculpture. And this makes him a modernist - who approaches his work with discernible ambition and considerable aplomb while steering clear of brinkmanship.
Radhakrishnan's works often drawn from the emotions and myths of the Hindu gods, such as Shiva, Kali and Radha. His sculptures are often larger than life-sized; placed in the outdoors, they evoke a superhuman atmosphere. Over the years, Radhakrishnan has experienced with alternate sculpting mediums, working in molten bronze, beeswax and Plaster of Paris. The physical process of working with the materials becomes a performance in itself. The sculpture is the product of a tactile engagement with his medium.
With celebration of sensuality as one of its running themes, his works is at once both intimate and universal in its appeal. A personal commemorative sculpture, with a scale and presence that holds well in natural settings, his work has found permanent home in a number of public collections all over the world.

Dominik Albiński
(born 1975, South Africa)
Dominic Albinski, was born in South Africa, in 1975. He started sculpting, at
a young age, at the Art Classes of Mercia Desmond, in Johannesburg. From the
start, his talent for capturing movement, and character in his human, and animal
figures was remarkable. Dominic had a happy childhood, spending his time in the
studio, where he studied art and anatomy, which was later to become one of the
major themes of his sculptures. He also spent a lot of time on the South African
coast; Durban, North Coast and Cape, Plettenburg Bay and in the bush Kruger
Park, Okovango Swamps, Chobe and Pilansberg game reserves. He was a good
student, but preferred sculpting in his studio, among his artworks, than studying.
After finishing High School (St John’s College), he left for Paris, to start a life
of independence, in the French capital, famous for artists like Rodin, Bugatti,
Carpeaux, Daumier, Giacometti, and Picasso, who inspired him. He was excepted
into the prestigious Institute of Political Science. However, his passion for
sculpture, made him choose sculpture as a career.
He started studying sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and
with the British Sculptor, James Butler in England. Here, he learnt observation and
techniques that would stand him in good stead later, when he came back to
France, as a Professor of Communication at the renowned Ecole Francaise
D’Attache de Presse near the Champs Elysees. He had his first major exhibition at
the Arnaud Gallery in Verneuil sur Avre in Normandy. A collector, found interest
in his work, and created a vast collection of his bronzes, as well as promoting
Dominic in various galleries in the region of Normandy, and Touraine, such as
Galerie 21 and Club de Arche de Noe, in Tours and Galerie des Remparts, and
Eclat de Verre, in Le Mans. He also exhibited in La Rochelle in the Galerie Hourdin,
and Bordeaux at the Galerie des Remparts. During this period he studied
Literature at the Sorbonne.
In Paris, several galleries took Dominic’s work, including Galerie Arcima, on
Rue St Jaques, Galerie Herouet, in the Marais, Galerie Etienne de Causans on rue
de Seine, or Galerie Mouvances, on Place des Vosges. Dominic participated in a
wildlife exhibition in Trocadero Center, and at the Hotel de Ville of Puteux. His
sculpture Madness, was chosen to be exhibited as a finalist at the Brain-Up
competition, in the Palais de Congres. This impressive sculpture, measuring 1m 60
is in the collection of the Hospital in Lille, and the Mandela Collection in Sandton
South Africa, among other collections.
In Poland, he had an exhibition in the Canadian Embassy Residence, in the
South African Embassy, and in the French Embassy. His work “Man with Pipe” is in
the collection of the Canadian Ambassador. His work “Portrait of Agnes” was
acquired by the South African Ambassador who, opened Dominic’s exhibition in
the Jagellonian University in Krakow, Holiday Inn, and in Galeria Mokotow, in
Warsaw. He had an exhibiton in the Warsaw Financial Center on Emili Platter
Street, and in the Sculpture Gallery on Jana Pawla street. Later, he exhibited in
the Gallery of the Polish War Museum on Krakowskie Przedmiescie, on Nowy
Swiat 44, in the Center of Promotion of Culture, Mazowieckie Center of Culture
and in the Jan Nowak Jezorianski Center. His work was showcased in the
Napiorkowska Gallery, Zapiecek Gallery on the square of the Old Town in Warsaw,
Hunters Gallery, and Warsaw Art Gallery in the Marriot Hotel, and sold on various
Auctions, such as Rempex, Agra Art, and Polswiss.
Back in South Africa, Dominic had much success among his native art
galleries, having his first major exhibition at the Mandela Square Gallery, in
Sandton. Art Galleries, hearing of his exhibitions in France, took his work, such as
the Cherie de Villiers Gallery, in the Mall, in Rosebank, and the Van den Berg
Gallery, in Potchefstroom. Dominic also took his work to the USA, where he
exhibited at the Modern Show in New York, and at the Dauphin Descours Gallery
on Madison Avenue, and the Yew Tree House Antiques Gallery in New York, as
well as the Geary Gallery, in Darion, and the Lions Gallery...

Bronze Heron Sculpture by Wayne F Williams
Located in Rochester, NY
Bronze heron by American sculptor Wayne Williams. Signed and dated 1993. Edition 2/2. Mounted on a walnut base.
From Finger Lakes Magazine 2001:
Art is everywhere in the Finger Lakes. Inspired by the region’s diverse scenery and lifestyles, artists pursue their creativity outdoors, in studios and in workshops. In the many well-established museums and galleries or at the newer fledgling arts organizations, a wide array of artistic styles and talents are represented. Often the artists, like Wayne Williams, share their artistic skill and passion through teaching at local colleges.
Williams, who is retired after a 35-year career at Finger Lakes Community College, found his calling there. “I didn’t want to teach in public schools,” explains Williams of his career choice. “I wanted to be at the college level. CCFL (the Community College of the Finger Lakes, as it was then known) was literally creating a college, right from scratch.” The year was 1968 and Williams was charged with coordinating the new college’s art program.
Rand Darrow, a CCFL student in that first year, remembers attending Williams’ art classes in a commercial building on Main Street just south of the railroad tracks in Canandaigua. Darrow appreciated his instructor’s relaxed manner. “He was a great teacher,” recalls Darrow, “cracking jokes all the time.” Darrow graduated with a major in Liberal Arts and continued on to SUNY Oswego where he earned a BA in fine arts. He taught art to elementary and middle school students for 30 years.
These days Williams and Darrow typically cross paths at the Wayne County Arts Council in Newark where Williams and his wife, Marleen, are heavily involved. Williams offers classes in figure drawing and sculpture and hangs the gallery’s shows, including his former student’s “Slavic Tales of Novgorod” this past August. “I’d like to take a sculpture class from him,” says Darrow.
In 2003 when Williams retired, the college honored him and another retiring art professor, Tom Insalaco, by renaming its art gallery the Williams-Insalaco Art Gallery. It was known formerly as Gallery 34 to recognize its origins at 34 North Main Street in Canandaigua. Williams held professor’s rank from 1976 and served as director of the art gallery beginning with its opening in 1983.
Williams, who was born and raised in Newark, New York, says he began doing art at about age 8. By the time he was in junior high school his career direction seemed clear. He received local and national awards for his art and a scholarship to Syracuse University, from which he graduated in 1958 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture. He continued with graduate work at Syracuse, receiving an MFA in sculpture in 1962. He worked full time as a sculptor until he began teaching.
At one point Williams admits he wanted to be a painter, but didn’t want to adopt the abstract expressionist style in vogue in the 1950s, preferring to pursue the realist tradition. He advises any would-be artist to “do what you do because you love it.”
After graduation he traveled abroad, spending time in Belgium, the land of his ancestors. “My family’s name was originally Willems,” explains the 73-year old who still relishes the time spent in the Flemish countryside. Williams speaks excitedly about art, referencing the lives of great artists. He acknowledges that American artists do not have the same stature as those in Europe, where Old Masters like Brueghel and Rembrandt are national heroes.
These days the energetic Williams, known primarily as a sculptor, is active at the Phelps Arts Center where he is on the board of directors. In mid-September when a group of visitors on a motor coach tour explored artworks displayed in the beautiful church-turned- gallery, they were treated to a large number of Williams’ bronze and metal sculptures, along with his charcoal drawings. “I’ve always loved his work because he deals with things, people, and animals you understand,” says the center’s Director Emeritus Marion Donnelly, who has known him for many years.
Outside the Phelps Community Historical Society, Williams’ life-size figure of a farmer raises his pitchfork above a colorful flower garden on the front lawn. Inspired by the peasants working the fields in Europe, the metal figure is shown with wooden shoes. This is Williams’ largest copper piece, loaned to the Phelps museum in connection with Artistry in Sculpture, a community exhibition in 2009. Williams added a new base using a metal wagon...

Ramp Figure, Bronze Sculpture, Black color by Modern Indian Artist "In Stock"
Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
K.S. Radhakrishnan - Ramp Figure
Bronze Sculpture
H 12.75 x W 7.5 x D 8.75 inches
