Yangchareon came to Los Angeles, California from Lampang, Thailand, Southeast Asia where he studied Fine Arts at the Arts & Crafts College (Poh Chang), Bangkok, Thailand and Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. In California he continued his studies at Woodbury University, receiving a degree in Advertising Design. He is a contemporary figurative realist artist. He painted the urban landscape of California, which have been exhibited in solo and group shows. His work is represented by prominent galleries nationally. Yangchareon spent much of his childhood at his father’s movie theater where he became fascinated with the world of American Westerns. The nostalgia for this idyllic film Americana can be garnered through his subject matter. Abandoned theaters, factories and businesses of an almost extinct era of architecture are carefully rendered in the soft morning light. Working from his own photography, shot during the early hours of the day, Yangchareon’s acrylic and oil paintings are largely devoid of human figures, but deeply imbued with their past presence. Recently, the artist has broadened his focus to include imagery of the city at night––rendering glistening rain-soaked sidewalks bathed in the artificial light of street lamps and movie marquees against an inky black sky. Yet, Yangchareon’s motivation remains the same; to find the hidden beauty in varying industrial landscapes and seeing splendor where most would argue it does not exist. Reminiscent of Edward Hopper, a sense of melancholy pervades his compositions in a quiet, detached manner. The influence of Richard Diebenkorn and Wayne Thiebaud can also be detected in the artist’s sense of color and in his interpretation of light. K-NARF was born in 1970 in Saint-Etienne, France and now lives in Tokyo.
K-NARF invented PHOTOGRAFFITI a contemporary way of making street photography that lead him to develop his singular Tape-o-Graphy technique. It involves the application of adhesive tape strips on developed photographs in order to manually process the photographs giving them a unique surface texture and extraordinary appearance.
Open to influences from street art and video, he uses the medium of photography as a toy to create and play. Both conceptual and experimental, definitely non-conventional, his work documents, recycles and collects the visual anachronisms of a world in a perpetual mutation. Beth Lilly is inspired by the work of Thomas Cole, JMW Turner and Paul Gauguin.
Atlanta-based photographer Beth Lilly utilizes a variety of photographic styles in her conceptually driven projects that speculate on the interplay of choice, chance and circumstance. Her most recent series, “The Seventh Bardo,” documents interstate-goers, who on their journey from point A to B, seemingly step outside the confines of time and space, getting lost in contemplation and introspection. In Tibetan, the term ‘Bardo’ literally means ‘the space in-between,’ like a liminal space, and usually refers to the state between death and rebirth. She finds a long journey on the interstate to be a kind of bardo, a state rich with opportunity for transformation.
The landscapes and the portraits in this series can stand alone, but are intended to relate and inform each other. The landscapes contain both blurred and sharp elements, signaling that these images are not about a specific geographical place but a psychological place. Nondescript features in the landscape repeat themselves endlessly – this is a limbo that extends forever but goes nowhere. Instead, they serve to set the emotional and psychological stage, and foster a sense of a dreamy otherworldliness
“We live in a time when individuality is highly praised, and yet many of us have never been so lonely,” states Beth. “Cars travel the interstate side by side, just feet apart, yet the passengers experience complete isolation. Our windowed vehicles create the illusion of privacy and within these small worlds, people tune out the outside world and appear deep in self-reflection or absorbed in the dramas of life playing out within the small world of their car.” Beth’s portraits record these transitional moments of being lost in thought or the brief moment of connection when they curiously look back at her.

Since the inception of Sunshine & Noir in 2001, Alleman has shot extensively in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and other American cities. In his latest iteration Alleman takes a detour beyond the frenetic landscapes of urban America into Paris - playfully guiding the viewer through a simultaneously familiar and foreign geography.
In the exhibition, square and panoramic landscapes and iconic landmarks stretch across the gallery, where Alleman creates intrigue by re-expressing instantly recognizable subjects.
