Inspired by the artists of the Modern Art era, including Post-Impressionist Paul Cezanne, Kang visualizes the modern day search for identity in an age where information and images permeate every aspect of contemporary life. His architectural urban scenes are flattened, with everything pressed against the surface of the artwork. At times, multiple views of the same houses are visible, trees and bushes are vaguely alluded to, and the color palette finds a hectic balance. Just as a city operates in a balance of chaos and the sublime, so do the artworks of Kang.
The Sublime is an euphoria that affects the deep recesses of one’s consciousness. As is this experience of the sublime, his work is largely abstract. This large colorful horizontal artwork is 38 inches high by 48 inches wide. The sides of this textured, original mixed-media artwork are finished as a continuation of the front and it does not require framing. It is hand-signed and dated by the artist on the back. Tae Ho Kang was born in Seoul, Korea in 1945. He studied at the College of Arts of Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. He later moved to California to study Fine Art at California State University, where he graduated in 1980. Since then, his artworks have focused on the never-ending quest for home and belonging in a dense urban landscape.
About his mixed media artworks, he remarks: “One day, when I was traveling, I was impressed by the beautiful scenery of the city under the sky, with many straight lines, curved lines, and harmonies of different colors, which seemed to be a magnificent orchestral performance. The beauty of this urban landscape gave me a deep impression and great change began to take place in my work. I wanted to be a molecule in this huge space. I have to find a house of my heart to be molecule. Where is the house I live in? What is my identity? This question has begun to arise. I am on a long journey to find my own house.”
His mixed media collage artworks have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions as well as international art fairs throughout the US and in Korea. Kang's work has also been featured in Television and Film productions, including Criminal Minds, NCIS Los Angeles, Unforgettable, The Mindy Project, The Great Indoors, and American Housewife. His artworks have been exhibited and acquired by private collectors around the world.

This piece is an original artwork by Jason Chen titled "Disguised Confidence". It is made of archival pigment prints from the artist's photography that he cuts and weaves together by hand. The piece measures 22”h x 34”w and ships framed in the pictured 25”h x 37”w frame.
In 2012, Jason Chen shifted his long-running focus on dry plate tintypes to a new process: photo weaving. Chen began using two separate images of the same person, then wove them together in a process exploring time, movement, process, and mutation. He has exhibited works in the series one by one over the years, but in Fragments, his 2015 solo exhibition at Paradigm Gallery, a full collection of these works were on display together for the first time.

Helen Oji (American, born 1950) Born in Sacremento, CA. Helen Oji was highlighted in the early 1980s New York City art scene as an artist with a distinctive vision. She has exhibited her paintings, works on paper and prints including mixed media monotype or monoprint works with hand painting, chine colle, applied glitter etc. in numerous exhibitions in New York, nationally and Europe. In addition to her artwork, she collaborated with a range of performers/writers in creating set designs that were presented in New York City, London, and across the US. and in various corporate and private collections. The contemporary trend in her paintings is characterized by a figurative integration of abstract elements. Creatively mixing media from cement, resin, acrylic and epoxy on stretched canvas, Victoria’s work is simultaneously sculptural and painting.
The surface of this 32 inch tall by 40 inch wide artwork is covered with a shiny layer of clear, glass-like resin, which enhances the colors and adds depth. The sculptural, green and orange elements protrude beyond the smoother, parts of the artwork. The sides are finished as a continuation of the front, creating more layers and detailing.
