This large plate is decorated in a the striking chinoiserie pattern called "Flying Bird" pattern, as illustrated on Page 121 of "A Guide to Mason's Patent Ironstone Patterns" published by The Mason's Collectors' Club. The pattern would have been transfer printed then boldly hand enameled with good detail. Each plate is circular in shape and is decorated in one of Mason's most vividly colored and sought after chinoiserie patterns called "The flying bird" pattern, as documented on page 121 of; A Guide to Mason's Patent Ironstone Patterns, circa 1813-1848, published by The Masons Collectors' Club. The pattern would have been transfer printed then hand painted in bold enamels, with additional hand gilded detail.
