Janusz Petrykowski Art
Janusz Petrykowski studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1963–69. He received a degree in 1969 under the supervision of prof. Juliusz Studnicki. Petrykowski participated in over 150 solo and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Since 1985, he has created objects connecting painting, sculpture and installation. In the 1990s, Petrykowski painted more personal paintings emphasizing the personal experiences associated with his daughter. The series was titled Julia’s Gardens. Simultaneously, he painted symbolic paintings and numerous nudes. In 1999, Petrykowski received the "Talens Lifetime Achievement Award.”
