Jared Bernstein Art
Israeli, American, b. 1963
“Art is something that stimulates an individual's thoughts, emotions, beliefs, or ideas through the senses.”
I was born in Baltimore, MD and grew up in a secular home in southern New Jersey. In the 1980s I moved to Manhattan and here it was that I was first introduced to the influential artists of the period. At a very young age I began to experiment with various art forms including painting, photography and poetry. These art forms, although very different, have a common denominator. They all require that the artist embrace the process while simultaneously letting go. I have studied by observation, I am an autodidact; an “Outsider artist”, a follower of Jean Dubuffet. I rely solely on instinct and intuition.
My work evolves from the unconscious. As Robert Rauschenberg famously stated “painting relates to both art and life”. Whether painting or writing, I express my hidden world, my inner voice. Through imagery and words, I track my internal journey and concretize my emotional narratives. This empowers me to reframe deep-seated feelings and passions.
The creative process helps reconcile my inner conflicts and enables me to share the spectrum of my feelings and thoughts with the viewer. This process is a confrontation with my identity, an exploration of my fear, an act of courage, and an ultimate spiritual triumph—all central to the human experience.
I search in my work, whether poetry, photography or painting, the humanistic approach. My work is free flowing and raw, reminiscent of the works by Jean-Michel Basquiat. The primeval imagery and universality free me to explore my creative life without judgment.
The years 2018 - 2021 were a time of growth, exploration and self-discovery. It was during this period that I painted extensively and understood that my self revelations have a universal message. The viewer may enter my unique world which in turn will hopefully become a self-enlightening experience. The goal is not to explore the artist’s emotions, rather to identify (or not to identify) with the underlying experience of the painting and how it touches the viewer.(Biography provided by Rosenbach Contemporary)

Noland Anderson is a self taught portrait artist who strives to create works of art that are a celebration of people of color. He is known for his detailed compositions in oils applied with loose brush strokes. He often features images of Black women and men engaging in everyday life in urban settings. Born in Newport News, Virginia with roots in Sumpter, SC, Noland's passion for figure drawing was formed at an early age. Noland attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where he received an Associate Degree in Advertising. Upon graduating, he went on to work as a freelance illustrator, designing Judaic art throughout the mid 1990s through early 2000s. During this period, Noland's freelance work extended into television where he worked as one of three court artists for the ABC affiliate in South Florida and as an illustrator for Univision (an American media company serving the Latin Market worldwide). Noland is represented by Neema Fine Art Gallery.

Simon Bull was born in Bedfordshire, England. The second of four children. His father, Ian Bull served as an officer in the Royal Army Chaplains’ Department of the British Army. Ian’s extensive military postings stationed the family around the world in Guyana, Hong Kong, Germany, and Northern Ireland. Simon went to boarding school in Yorkshire, attending Ripon Cathedral Choir School from 1965 to 1969 and in Surrey, at the Royal Russell School from 1969 to 1976. In 1976 he took a one-year Foundation course at Gloucestershire College of Art and Design and went on to graduate in 1980 from Leeds Polytechnic with a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art. He studied printmaking and Fine Art under Norman Webster and Norman Ackroyd RA.
His time at Leeds was marked by his interest in and study of the masters, such as Henri Fantin-Latour, Jean-Baptiste-Simeon Chardin, and Rembrandt; he wrote his dissertation on watercolorist John Sell Cotman. In his graduating year he exhibited his etching Jackie at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and his works were acquired by Leeds City Art Gallery.
His art is currently represented exclusively, by his own company Simon Bull Studios of Carmel CA and MEUSE gallery on Carmel’s Ocean Avenue. He has spoken on behalf of the Muhammad Ali Center at the Vancouver Film Festival for the premiere of the movie Facing Ali.
In 2009 he was commissioned to paint US President Barack Obama by boxing legend Muhammad Ali. His two joint portraits of Barack Obama and Muhammad Ali were unveiled at the Kentucky Bluegrass Ball on the eve of the Presidential Inauguration in Washington DC by actress Ashley Judd.
