Leon Worley Figurative Paintings
Leon Worley was born and raised near Warren, Ohio, he earned a BA in architecture from Carnegie Tech and a BA from Hiram College. In World War II, he attained the rank of Major in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and was an aide to General Ulysses S. Grant III. Worley was the founder and partner of Seibert, Worley, Cady, Kirk Architects in Cleveland, Ohio, which specialized in commercial, industrial and institutional work. He was president of the Cleveland chapter of the American Institute of Architects and the Architects Society of Ohio. In Cleveland, Worley was a member of the City Club, the Country Club and the Downtown Kiwanis Club. He is listed in Who's Who in the Midwest. In Winter Park, he was a member of the University Club, the Winter Park Racquet Club and the Stag Club, and he enjoyed playing golf daily with his friends at the city course in Winter Park. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed two holes-in-one. Worley was a talented photographer and artist who enjoyed painting paintings of his extensive travels.
