Marie Laforey is a self-taught artist based in Brooklyn, New York. She grew up in a rural environment and has always had a strong connection with nature. She enjoys the tactility of working with organic mediums and learning how to craft preserved moss and natural elements into beautiful abstract landscapes that remind her of her childhood surroundings. Her abstract assemblages are green sceneries that allow the viewer to escape today’s chaotic digital life and reconnect with natural beauty.
