Ralph de Burgos Paintings
Ralph de Burgos was known largely as a painter, with a leaning toward modernist landscape and still-life. Burgos studied at the National Academy of Design, the Art Students League, the School of Industrial Arts and the Arthur Schwieder School of Modern Painting. He was a Faculty at the Washington Workshop President of the Society of Washington Artists and the American Art League Founder of two schools (de Burgos School of Art in Georgetown and de Burgos School of Art in Falls Church). His works were featured in the Capitol, various U.S. embassies, as well as a mural in St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Washington. He restored and refinished the portraits of 32 presidents of Georgetown University.
