Ronnie Wood Landscape Prints
British, b. 1947
Ronnie Wood was born in Middlesex, England, into a musical and artistic family. Before beginning his musical career he received formal art training at Ealing College of Art in London. As his musical career with the Jeff Beck Group, the Faces and the Rolling Stones progressed, Ronnie continued his painting and drawing, his subjects ranging from musicians he admired, knew and sometimes played with, to family and close friends, and, of course, the self-portrait.
Throughout the years the artist and the musician have been inseparable. It is on natural to find him with a pencil as with a guitar, drawing portraits of contemporaries and finding inspiration from his musical i nfluences. In America in the early 1980′s Ronnie produced his first prints three woodcuts and a series of monotypes. At that time he was not yet an experienced printmaker so it was with great enthusiasm that he seized upon it. In 1987 Wood was given the opportunity to spend several months working in a professional printmaking studio in England. Since then he has devoted to a considerable amount of time to printmaking and has produced a number of images using various techniques etching, drypoint, screenprint and digital.
Over the years his work has been widely exhibited. In 1996 he had a retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has had numberius one man exhibitions in North and South America, in the far East and throughout Europe.to

Dorris Hodgson Bothwell (American, 1902–2000), known as Dorr, was born in San Francisco, California, on May 3, 1902. The Bothwell family moved to San Diego in 1911, where they became friends and neighbors with the artists Anna and Albert Valentien. Dorr began her art studies with Anna in 1916 at the age of 14. In the early 1920s, Dorr returned to San Francisco to study at the California School of Fine Arts, then studied at the University of Oregon, in Eugene, and the Rudolph Schaeffer School of Design, which was founded in San Francisco, 1926.
After receiving a modest inheritance, Dorr traveled to American Samoa in 1928, where she remained for two years and produced many works of art in a wide variety of mediums. Some of these were successfully shown at the Fine Arts Gallery of San Diego and the Beaux Gallery in San Francisco, allowing her to spend time in England, France, and Germany.
Returning to San Diego in 1931, Dorr became involved, once more, with the San Diego art community and exhibited with the San Diego Moderns...
