An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian English sterling silver combination scent bottle / pill box / vinaigrette; an addition to our diverse collectable silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver combination vinaigrette / pill box / scent bottle has an oval barrel shaped form. The body of the vessel is embellished with applied plain broad girdles replicating the details of the bilge and quarter hoops, which provide anchor points for the original link chain. The piece retains the original hallmarked screw fit cover to the scent bottle, conjoined to one of the aforementioned anchor points with a link chain. One end of the vessel is fitted with a hallmarked hinged cover, which when opened reveals the vinaigrette with the original hinged grille and gilt interior. The gilded grille is ornamented with a bright cut engraved and pierced decorated bordered scroll and leaf design. The hallmarked hinged cover to the opposing end forms a pill box and opens to reveal the original gilt interior; this versatile box could be used for a multitude of functions. An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique George V English sterling silver vases made in the Arts and Crafts style by Guild of Handicraft; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection These exceptional antique George V sterling silver vases have a cylindrical form to a circular shaped spreading foot. The surface of each silver vase is embellished with applied Arts and Crafts style stylized conjoined foliage designs flanked with rope twist decorated borders. The lower rounded portion of the body is encircled with chased tri-lobed style arched designs, subdivided in equal distances to the aforementioned leaf designs. The upper rim of each vase is encompassed with further rope twist and applied ribbed decorated borders. The large spreading foot reflects an offset variation of the chased design to the lower portion of the body. The interior of each exceptional vase retains the original gilding.
