This pretty 1970s Jeff Banks chiffon blouse is gorgeously feminine with some lovely details. The light chiffon has a floral pattern of pastel tones in ivory, soft green, ochre, rose pink and lilac. The generous cut of the fabric and batwing sleeves ensure a beautiful flow of movement as the piece falls over the body. Ornate irregular pleating features either side of the round neck collar so that the fabric falls flatteringly away from the breasts besides each arm. This pleating is echoed on the reverse beneath the seam of the western style yoke that sits across the shoulders. The central button stand hosts 7 small pearlescent flats and is embellished with pale Victorian-style lace trim in vertical lines parallel to the seam. This lace is used to trim the dainty cuffs with are gathered at each wrist to accentuate the volume of the sleeve. This charming 1940s pastel toned shirt dress is in beautiful vintage condition and has a feminine, contemporary aesthetic. The light rayon fabric has an impressionist style novelty print depicting riverside scenes with sailing boats and pasture land in soft grey, pale lilac, jade and turquoise. The calf-length dress is long sleeved with a low plunging wrap over bodice, a wide set lapel collar and forwards facing yolk on the shoulders under which the fabric is gently gathered. It is a loose fitting shift cut with a seam to mark the waistband, and could be worn loose or drawn in with a belt if desired. There is no lining and a zip fastening at the centre reverse. This lovely dress is superbly adaptable and could transform as evening wear with the correct accessories. Would fit up to a US size 8, UK size 12...

This original 1950s turquoise and net prom dress is a real show-stopping, fairy tale piece. It reminds us of the Disney Princess dress worn by Cinderella at the ball. There are three layers to the skirt; an acetate underskirt, over-laid with a plain net skirt and finally the top layer. This has 11 ruffle trims added in rows which give the dress a very full and sweeping profile. The boned bodice is also in the same coloured ruched fabric, imitating taffeta silk with net trim to the sweetheart neckline. The dress has a very pleasing detachable layered net halter neck that widens over the shoulders to give a little cape like effect. Early and desirable 1970s Biba sequin jacket in superb vintage condition. The jacket is very slim cut with Art Deco influenced tailoring. There are no fastenings or lapels so this is a type of swing jacket which clings and hugs the body. With all-over copper sequinned embellishment, there is a small padded insert to the puff sleeved shoulder with tapered sleeves toward the cuff. Lined in a corresponding copper polyester jersey. This 1960s Tony Armstrong evening dress is cut in a classic and flattering column silhouette with a high rounded neckline and short, slightly capped sleeves. The front is very lightly embroidered with fine blue thread in a criss-cross pattern. This continues round to the back of the dress, where a concealed original metal zipper ensures a smooth and seamless fit. A pair of right and left darts to the front and back emphasises the waist. The fabric is a very fine quality peacock blue raw silk with a satin sheen to it whilst it is fully lined in a lilac coloured acetate. A best fit for around a UK 8-10 or US 4-6. Superb vintage condition and looks barely worn, we noted only a small area of discoloration to the lining near both the sleeve underarms but this is totally unseen when worn. This early to mid 1970’s piece features a pretty floral print in two layers of navy chiffon in a red, sky blue, green & white floral print by his wife and business partner Ceila Birtwell. Fitted around the bust, with a flattering empire line tie fastening and three covered buttons at the back in the same fabric. It would make a fantastic choice for a wedding or summer party and is in truly superb vintage condition with no issues. Best for a size extra small to small - our model is a size UK 6-8 or US 2-4 and this has room in the bust. Ossie Clark was a highly influential British fashion designer in the 1960s -1970s.
