Pair mid-19th century French hand-forged wrought iron framed panels were painstakingly crafted by an obviously talented metal smith out of red-hot iron to create an artistic window accent that also happens to be exceedingly secure! Hand-forged during the Napoleon III Period which was the beginning of the heydays of the Belle Epoque, each panel is constructed using rivets which is difficult, tedious, and requires considerable skill, but results in a finished work that literally transcends time itself! The classically-inspired architecture of the works are undeniable, as is the subtle French touch in the elegant scrollwork and curvatures. Each is mounted in its original solid pine framework, and because they are hand-forged, are very slightly different in size which is only immediately apparent when they're placed right next to each other. Two pair 19th century French Louis XVI painted interior doors are a remarkable find, indeed! The set was designed as two distinct pairs, with each pair having a distinct left & right door, and a total of four distinct relief works, one on each door! Three tailored panels define the door architecture, with the relief work appearing on the uppermost panel. One door features a musical instrument theme with various instruments "suspended" by ribbon tied by a bow at top, with a musical score in between. The ribbon and bow motif are continued on the other three panels, but the themes change. The second door depicts subjects involved in fishing, from nets to seaside foliage, even a fish on a pole! The third is a gardening theme, with rake, scythe and more, including a triangular soil aerator. The forth depicts the objects of the hunt, from a flintlock rifle...
