Diptyque - "The Ride of the Knight" - Swisse
By Antoine Rose
Located in Miami, FL
Aerial photography. Limited and signed edition, number 2 of 8. Originally from Belgium, Antoine Rose is a self-taught photographer who started acquiring the necessary skills to capture and model the light through the lens of his camera at the age of 8 years old. Over time, he developed an ardent passion for photography, travels and the sea. He was the official photographer of the kitesurfing world cup for several consecutive years and has traveled around the globe, from South Africa to Istanbul, in order to capture those magic moments. Antoine is a published artist with major international brands who have commissioned his materials for worldwide advertising campaigns. In his latest series, rose approach to photography became more minimalist, trying to convert ordinary scenes, landscapes or objects into pieces of art. Up in the air series Antoine rose has commenced working on “up in the air” series in 2002, while he was shooting the kitesurfing world cup in Rio de Janeiro; being perfectionist, he dedicated a couple of years on refining his ideas. The latest images of the series, on display in the current show, were shot around the Hamptons shorelines and have recently been featured at the photo fever art fair in Brussels, Belgium and at the 2012 fall edition of the affordable art fair in New York, receiving a very warm welcome from the audience. In an interview, the artist confessed about his adventurous working process: “shooting from helicopters, all doors removed, 300 feet above earth at 20 knots and getting tack sharp images that can be printed as large as 120 inches is quite a challenge”. Indeed, his works are oversized photographs...

Amour is French
Located in Miami, FL
Photography mounted on Diasec/Mixed Media Anne Valverde (b. 1968) is a Parisian photographer fascinated by urban spaces and the graphism of landscapes. She creates a dreamlike world through the use of her photographs featuring idyllic settings, furthering this effect with calligraphy and light. After digital processing, the high-resolution prints are exclusively developed on silver paper. According to Valverde, she designs her photos to be imaginative springboards: "windows with views." Since 2016, she has worked cross-country on the DREAM ART project with neon set-up in her photographs. Through the medium of neon, she revives the essence of the word "photograph," which translates to "writing with light" in Greek. Her literal interpretation transports the viewer into a realm of ethereal landscapes. Parisian photographer fascinated by urban spaces and the graphism of landscapes. She notably tries to make dreams about people by photographs of idyllic decors. In her job, she links calligraphy and light, her two main passions. The distinctiveness of her work lies in the colorization of certain details of her photos taken in black and white. Her work has been influenced by great artists such as Basquiat and Warhol...

Go For It! S1
By Joel Moens de Hase
Located in Miami, FL
Digital mosaic. Signed and limited edition number 4 of 8. Joël Moens is a serial creator. Over the course of his lifetime, he has spawned over fifteen different businesses. Nowadays, and almost schizophrenically, he switches between his businessman’s hat and his artist’s hat at the mere click of a mouse, given that this disciple of the philosophy of action devotes his time to digital art. His artistic 'love at first sight' moment was his discovery of and introduction to photo mosaics. This is a process which renews the ancient technique of mosaic and is testament to the change in status of the image that resulted from the technological revolutions of the end of the twentieth century. The particular works of Joël Moens are made up of scores of feminine curves, that when assembled form a unified whole. The tiny photographic images lend a real sense of depth to the artist’s work, an idea of infinity. They can be read in two ways, depending on whether the viewer is looking at the content or the form. This reflects the ambivalence of his existence where he alternates between his activities as a businessman and his work as an artist. The photo mosaics of Joël Moens de Hase first began to emerge in 2011. They rapidly caught the interest of a national and international viewership, and both were highly receptive. This digital art form, a contemporary alternative of pixel art...

Carwash '78
Located in Miami, FL
Framed Size: 55.25 in. x 45.2 in. Artist Journal Entry: "I find a lot of inspiration from the 70s era. The classic cars, the lifestyle, it's always captivated me. I went into this idea with the thought of a typical warm summer day in 1978. These types of photos are always a joy to produce because I get to outsource outdated items such as classic cars and vintage wardrobes but still add a Western twist to them. To me, it's something you'd expect to see every day in the country. Where a cowboy would cool his horse off after working all morning under a hot sun, mixed in with the everyday customer looking to detail their car before hitting up the honky tonk that night. This image just looks like it was taken in a much simpler time. When the little things like your local carwash were an everyday thing. I was fortunate enough to include local cowboys and cowgirls to help bring this vision to life. We staged the vehicles on a Sunday morning and trailered the horse out with us to be the focal point of the image. Each one of these men and women either rodeo full-time or work on a nearby ranch. After developing the film and getting the final image back from the lab, it brought back so many memories of my own. I remember growing up getting excited to grab a handful of quarters and help my parents wash the car. If we didn't have change, I would just wash the cars at home and take a drink from the outside hose when it got too hot out. This artwork is dedicated to those memorable times while also creating a sense of wonder for the viewer." About The Artist: Beau Simmons...

The World Needs More Cowboys, Special Edition
Located in Miami, FL
"The World Needs More Cowboys" Special Edition of 200 “The World Needs More Cowboys” Artist Journal Entry: "After working on a cattle ranch all day in west Texas, I gathered a few cowboys that I had been spending the past few days with and drove into the town of Alpine where this photo was created. I’ve had this vision for a while now and was waiting to find the perfect moment. This photo was taken just outside of a little bar in town about an hour shy of sunset. I walked in and spoke with the owner and asked if we could change the letters around on the old marquee sign out front. Without hesitation, he said absolutely and even shared some stories with us outside as we got everything set up. Growing up fascinated by cowboys and the western lifestyle, I looked up to these men and women who represented this culture. A culture dedicated to taking care of the land and its livestock no matter what. Caring for one another, enjoying a slower pace lifestyle with God and family at the forefront. Hard work, sacrifice, and humility are hard to come by. Putting everything above themselves in order to maintain a healthier life for others. A way of living we could all benefit from. In times like these, the world needs more cowboys." About The Artist: Beau Simmons...

Together As One
Located in Miami, FL
Frame adds 7" to dimensions. Artist Journal Entry: "An artwork that shouldn't have come together so perfectly. The photo you see here was a one-and-done kind of photo. Most of my work is thought out beforehand since I'm shooting on film, but this photo has been on my mind for years now. It's a photo that is very difficult to pull off and the timing has to be just right. When the owners walked the horses up to one another the male on the left went down to nuzzle the female on the right and quickly rested their heads against each other. It was almost as if they were destined to be together. With no time to spare, I had to manually focus as quickly as possible and capture this moment just in time before they moved out of the frame. When I received my film back from the lab I couldn't have been any happier with how it turned out. The male horse on the left has this masculine and powerful presence but is calmly resting his head so gently against the female to the right. To me, it represents intimacy and true love. A love that dedicates itself to protecting and providing for another soul. The way that their faces perfectly line up as their eyes meet, creates an energy filled with devotion while allowing for a moment of stillness. It perfectly portrays that when you find a love that is pure and unwavering, nothing can come between two hearts. You are together as one." About The Artist: Beau Simmons...

Pit Stop
Located in Miami, FL
Frame adds 7" to dimensions. Artist Journal Entry: "My artwork, Pit Stop, was created with references like Bonnie & Clyde and the movie Pulp Fiction floating around in my head. A story that focuses on two lovers stopping at an old diner somewhere in the Mojave desert. An empty and barren wasteland that stretches on for miles and miles offering those who visit a last call to fill up on gas, grab a bite to eat, or crash in an old dusty motel room for the night. I wanted to capture a mood that felt lived in. A place that allows your mind to engage with it and feel like you’re standing there under a hot summer sun. Surrounding you in an environment filled with rolling tumbleweeds, cracked leather seats, 70s country echoing through the valley, the smell of burgers on the grill, cigarette smoke dancing in the air, the bell hanging above the gas station door dinging as you walk in, and the lovely stare from a woman’s eyes sitting beside you. This artwork was also an opportunity for me to create a scenario that I believe was just an average day fifty years ago. A much simpler time in a place I once called home. This artwork is for those who live for adventure. For those who live on the road. Finally, for those who just need a mental escape from our everyday lives." About The Artist: Beau Simmons...

Cowboys Never Die
Located in Miami, FL
Frame adds 7" to dimensions. Artist Journal Entry: "The cowboy and western lifestyle is always in an ebb-and-flow state in our society. When new hit television shows or movies come out, it tends to rise again in popularity in pop culture. What most people don’t see is that there is a thriving community that is still hard at work every single day behind barbed wire fences. Men and women caring for the land and the animals that we rely on in this country. Most of us can become easily distracted by a society that has misled us to believe that luxury items, vanity, and fame, are the only examples of success. Where value is determined by the number in one’s bank account. We’re constantly scrambling to make it to the top without realizing that these lifestyles and items are only temporary. You can’t take them with you once you’ve given your bones back to the earth. I captured this photograph out in west Texas just outside the small town of Marfa. I wanted to create an artwork that honors the American cowboy and places them at the forefront of our culture. A way to highlight them and their story. When trends shift and modern-day influence fades, cowboys never die." About The Artist: Beau Simmons...

Along The Verde
Located in Miami, FL
Framed size: 65.75 in. x 54.5 in. x 2 in. Artist Journal Entry: "Things got a bit western just before this photo was taken. After riding up to an overlook above the East Verde River, just southwest of the town of Payson, AZ, we spotted this perch hanging above the cattle below. One of the cowboys looked over at me and said, "How about a photo of us with our horses up there?" Now I was thinking the same myself, but I wasn't about to ask these guys to risk themselves or their horses going over the edge in some freak accident. With excitement on my face, I replied, "Hell yeah, let's do it." After they got situated and ensured the horses were safe, I set myself up in the right position and started to line up the composition through my viewfinder. As I counted down from three, one of the horses lunged forward, completely disrupting the photo and the cowboys sitting on the edge of this cliff. They leaped up and immediately grabbed the reins and calmed the horses down. If that horse wanted to lunge any further, it would have taken itself and the cowboy up front off the edge nearly 100 feet down into the river. After repositioning and making sure everything was at peace, we captured this incredible and one-of-a-kind photos in central Arizona. You could say we all shared a few anxious laughs and smiles afterward." About The Artist: Beau Simmons...

Cowgirl Summer
Located in Miami, FL
Frame adds 7" to dimensions. Artist Journal Entry: "This artwork was an image that was captured while visiting a ranch in Stephenville, TX. Each one of these women either cowboy daily or compete in rodeos. I have been wanting to highlight more women throughout my work who represent the western lifestyle. Their presence in this industry and in our lives is needed and should be honored. I photographed this moment just as they were finishing up doctoring some cattle and had a break to enjoy the sun along with a few cold beers. After all, western women sure do know how to keep up with us men while also showing us up more often than we’d like to admit. When I tell you that these women are just built differently, it’s clear from the moment you shake hands with them. They don’t care about the dirt under their nails, the mud on their boots, or the occasional thorns twisted up in their hair. When it comes to maintaining the land and the animals they look after, they don’t cut corners or have time to complain. However, when the work is done, they still know how to throw on an outfit that catches stares from every corner of the saloon. The balance of a nurturing and strong woman is one of the most admirable traits. You just don’t see it everywhere but when you do, you know it’s special. My hat is off to the women who represent this lifestyle and everything they contribute to it." About The Artist: Beau Simmons...

Sunrise At The Sixes
Located in Miami, FL
Frame adds 7" to dimensions. “Sunrise At The Sixes” Artist Journal Entry: "In December of 2022, I was invited to capture photos of the cowboys at the 6666 Ranch for their last branding of the year. The day before this photo was captured, we were working on a southern pasture in muddy conditions on a cold winter morning. All of the cowboys, including writer and creator of the television series Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan, spent all day branding their last group of calves for the season. The following morning, I drove from the North Camp where I was staying and met with all the guys again in front of the iconic L Barn. Waiting for the sun to rise, we gathered horses and exchanged stories alongside a warm cup of coffee before finally setting up the composition I had in mind. I wanted to create an image that captures the spirit and bond between these men. An image that celebrates the hard work and selflessness that goes into maintaining the ranch, the land, and the livestock that feed from it. Lastly, an image that honors this historic ranch and those who have worked under its brand. I am honored to have been accepted to create this artwork alongside the cowboys at the 6666 Ranch in collaboration with Taylor Sheridan." The Four Aces Motel
Located in Miami, FL
Frame adds 7" to dimensions. "The Four Aces Motel" Artist Journal Entry: "I have always been fascinated by the lifestyles surrounding the 1970s-1990s era. I grew up in the 90s in a small town located in the Mojave Desert in California. The nostalgic imagery captured back in those days has such a unique feel to them. With that in mind and other inspiration drawn from classic movies, I wanted to capture a series of images that reflected a 1970s story based in the vast desert surrounding my hometown. In this particular image out of the series, I wanted to create a scenario of a woman who just showed up at this motel in the middle of the desert in her classic 1971 Ford Galaxy. A place where cowboys and other drifters come together. Something that tells a story of how cowboys in the 70s could ride their horses up and stay the night. Where vagabonds could escape and call this place home for a night or two as they pass through town. I wanted to create an image that takes your mind back to this time period and gives you an idea of what an ordinary day might have looked like back then. This location is an actual Hollywood film set called The Four Aces. I contacted the owner and after an extensive interview process, receiving an LA County film permit, and production insurance, I was finally able to create a series of images that have been on my mind for quite some time."
