This vibrant red, blue, orange and yellow lithograph is based on the 1961 Rosenquist oil painting Brighter than the Sun (private collection), with fragmented images from advertising, painted in day glo colors. A classic composition in a rainbow of colors from the master of Pop Art. Printed on German Copperplate paper measuring 28 x 38 in. / 71.1 x 96.5 cm, with an image size of 19 x 29.2 in. / 48.4 x 74.2 cm. Signed by the artist lower right in pencil; titled and numbered AP 11/20 lower left in pencil. Published by Petersburg Press. Catalogue Reference: Constance W. Glenn Time Dust: James Rosenquist Complete Graphics 1962 - 1992, Rizzoli, New York 1993, no. 57 Copies of this lithograph are in the collections of the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, and the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, amongst others.

    This print is not previously owned and has been stored in the Petersburg Press archives since its publication. There are four small pieces of tape on the back, which has produced five small darkened areas of the paper on the front. See photos.
