Jake Fischer Art

American
This body of work is an investigation of the relationship between the tangible and intangible moments in the context of everyday life experience; where the tangible refers to moments taking place in the physical environment and the intangible refers to the subjectivity associated with thought. In this body of work, I am using light and dark as a representation for the two-sided nature of experience, where light is tangible and the dark intangible. Pictorially and spatially, the light and dark have a cosignificant relationship, just as the tangible and intangible are reliant on each other to inform experience. My process involves recording places that I am familiar with or that I interact with in my daily routines, such as a commute from one point to another or simply walking through my neighborhood. Through my process, I have found that it is during these times that the relationship between the tangible and intangible is most evident. Singular moments in the physical space seem to punctuate and interrupt engagement in thought. In these paintings, it is not my intention to favor one aspect over the other, but instead to place equal significance on both.

View from the Train: Cityscape Oil Painting, View of Brooklyn
By Patty Neal
Located in Hudson, NY
View from the Train, 2019 24" X 40" x 1", oil on canvas This contemporary oil painting depicting a metropolitan view is the work of realist painter Patty Neal. The painting offers an intimate view of the city, as seen from a window, as it peeks from behind two metal structures. The dark browns and bright golds beautifully compliment the dusty blue, gray sky. Neal works highlight everyday city scenes, utilitarian infrastructure, and industrial or electrical apparatus. Artist statement: A life is an accumulation of experiences: visual, emotional and mental. By compartmentalizing these snippets of life we create boundaries. The focus of my work for many years has been the exploration of these various life aspects and how they are bound together or bound from each other. My process is often literally composed of boundaries. I make a painting by putting together multiple panels, or I segment a single panel into separate visual spaces. The works are made up of pieces or elements of city and landscape. While exploring the concepts of boundaries I play with visual “reality.” Sometimes I combine images that are upside down with those that are not and juxtapose images from different contexts. Literal boundaries, such as walls fences, expanses of water and highway median strips are also used. My intent is to invite viewers to look beyond these boundaries to see the possibilities of a connected whole. "White Blossoms and Green Grass" contemporary impressionist view of lush field
By Emily Persson
Located in Sag Harbor, NY
"White Blossoms and Green Grass" is a contemporary impressionist view of a lush field in Australia. Emily Persson is a Melbourne based artist who has been creating oil paintings with a palette knife for three years. Emily is a multi-generational artist with roots in Brisbane, Australia. Although an avid hobbyist painter her whole life, Emily found her style and her new career in 2016 when she began painting landscape, seascape and floral still-life paintings inspired by her surrounds in Queensland. Emily decided in late 2017 that she would give away a successful corporate office job and pursue her life long dream of becoming a full time artist. She relocated to South Yarra in Melbourne and immediately began exhibiting across Australia at galleries such as the Moree Gallery and Satch & Co. Emily participated in many group exhibitions and fundraisers in 2018 including multiple shows in Melbourne, New South Wales and Queensland. Emily has gained most of her notoriety from her popularity on Instagram where she has close to twelve thousand followers. Emily’s art has trended worldwide on social media and she has become a pioneer and mentor for other artists trying to find their online groove. Emily has drawn the eye of some of Australia’s most sought after interior designers including Thomas Hamel...

Orientalist Post Impressionist Garden Landscape, The Agave.
Located in Cotignac, FR
Oil on board study of a Blue Agave in its landscape by French artist Louis Michel Bernard. Signed bottom right and with atelier stamp to the rear of the panel. Presented in fine custom carved wood, gesso, silver leaf and patinated frame. A charming painting of an iconic plant, the thick tendril leaves reaching out from the centre ground surrounded by the ancient oaks and olive tress in the landscape. Bernard has used browns and ochres for the ground surrounding the plant and trees which gives the painting almost an abstract quality. His use of material gives a vivacity to the composition and texture to the surface of the painting. A wonderful addition to any collection or interior. Louis Michel Bernard (1885–1962) was a French artist who primarily focused on landscapes, and he gained recognition as an Orientalist painter...
