Modernist Amethyst Handblown Murano Glass Disc Chandelier with Chrome Fittings
About the Item
This elegant modernist chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It features a conical form consisting of four tiers of hand blown vistosi glass discs in a stunning amethyst tone that increase in diameter to their top. The centers of the disc are opaque with a smokey gray quality, while the perimeters are translucent. The chandelier connects to the canopy via a chrome chain and canopy. With its clean modernist lines and beautiful Murano glass, this fixture would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. The fixture accommodates four Edison based bulbs providing up to 400 watts of light. Excellent condition.
