From the estate of French heiress (and sister of WWI aviation hero and French Open namesake Roland Garros) Gilberte Garros, this magnificent saucer hat combines the 1930s’ penchant for outrageous millinery and the exoticism of Tunisia, where the heiress lived much of her adult life. A showstopper of an accessory with a fascinating life history. Oversized saucer hat with clamshell ripples at front edge and twill piping around circumference; foldover bubble veil from ear to ear and rear twill flat bow spanning the full width of hat.
