S/S 1998 Gianni Versace by Donatella Ad Asymmetric Blue Purple Sheer Dress
About the Item
TheRealList presents: an asymmetric Gianni Versace Couture dress, designed by Donatella Versace. From the Spring/Summer 1998 collection, this multi-pattern dress features two layers. The interior layer is composed of a sheer blue and red floral which is exposed above the bust and at the hem, while the exterior layer is made up of a deep blue with a purple scroll design. The exterior layer ripples at the bust providing a cowl style effect. A version of this dress was modeled on the runway and a top in the same colorway was also presented. A version of this stunning dress was also worn by Erin O'Connor in the season's ad campaign, photographed by Richard Avedon. The perfect piece of late 1990s Versace runway history, this documented and unique piece is a must-have!
