This vintage Fall Winter 1997 Bill Blass hand painted velvet coat is such an amazing statement piece! The colors are so rich and the added metallic shine makes this a show stopper! There are very unique buttons down the center front seam and cuffs, which have a wood like texture. The base color of the coat is a stunning green and has some metallic silver and gold shapes. There are intentional areas on one side and on one side in back, revealing more of the gold fabric. There are two functional pockets at the sides of the coat with a flap. There are darts around the waist (front and back) to follow the figure all the way down to the hem and shoulder pads for structure. The lining of the jacket is green silk. We have always loved Bill Blass and are always happy to acquire his better vintage pieces! This coat is labeled a size 10 and has Bill Blass, Saks Fifth Avenue union labels...
