Though this robe’s delicate pastel hue and exquisite softness make it an ideal dressing gown, it would be such a shame to hide it behind closed doors. Cut much like a 1950s swing coat, it could easily double for lightweight outerwear or a chic tunic worn over leggings. Collarless drop shoulder robe embroidered with tonal chrysanthemums; wide bracelet length sleeves and hip-high slits both sides. 5 frog closures with brass buttons from throat to waist; fully lined in matching whisper weight crêpe de Chine. fabric: padded Canton silk, crêpe de Chine noteworthy: dry clean only repairs: added era-appropriate crêpe de Chine around neckline interior to conceal lining damage; whipstitched neckline edge to prevent further fraying condition: good with above referenced repairs, light neckline fraying and gentle wear to lining; very faint shadow at rear left hip (see photos) measurements: neckline circumference: 18” shoulders: approx. 15” (natural shoulder), 27” (drop shoulder) sleeve length: approx. 19” from natural shoulder, 12 ½” from drop shoulder and underarm sleeve circumference: 25” bust: to 50” waist: 51” hips: 55” length: approx. 39” from natural shoulder, 26” from underarm, 41” from rear center neck sweep: 62” (side vents closed) label: no label present size: no size tag present; appropriate for a range of sizes from small to large
