About

1987 Jean-Paul Gaultier Junior deconstructed ‘Victorian Jean Jacket’ corset top featured in The Face Magazine

This fabulous top is from Jean-Paul Gaultiers Junior line. The top dates back to 1987 and was featured in the November issue of The Face magazine photographed by Andrew Macpherson. The top is made from a charcoal denim and features the same contrasting stitching, pockets and poppers of a jean jacket. The top is worn off the shoulders with popper fastenings and also has a decorative satin ribbon reminiscent of a victorian corset. All the buttons are monogrammed with the ‘Junior Gaultier’ and the hidden metal plate underneath the button. The top is in great condition apart from some minor pulls to the ribbon. The denim also has a little bit of stretch.
