Vintage 1970s Biba of London Blue Chevron Wool & Faux-Fur Belted Jacket w/ Skirt

About the Item

If you were an "It Girl" in London during the 1960's and 1970's, Biba is where you would have shopped. This super rare and ultra timeless royal-blue jacket ensemble, dating back to her 1973 fall-winter collection, is a perfect example of the brand's genius. It is fashioned from a fantastic fully-lined chevron patterned wool with all the classic hallmarks of Biba's best- skinny lean sleeves, hidden button closures and a dramatic deco waist belt. The jacket even has chic black faux-fur trimming that resembles Persian lamb. The silhouette really channels that late 1930's femme-fatale look Biba's founder, Barbara Hulanicki, loved so much. We added many pictures so you can appreciate this iconic ensemble. Measurements Jacket Bust: 34-36 inches Waist: 30 inches (belt used to make smaller) Sleeve Length:22 inches Total Length: 26 inches Skirt High Waist: 26 inches Hips: 38 inches Total Length: 27 inches This designer Biba jacket/skirt ensemble is in excellent condition with no rips, stains or holes. Both pieces are fully-lined. An early Biba set that is extremely collectible and infinitely wearable.

Givenchy, the name itself evokes glamour, refined elegance, simplicity and style. Givenchy's trademark of sculpted lines and luxurious fabrics make his work easily recognizable. This bold jumpsuit ensemble, dating back to their 1991 haute couture collection, is a beautiful example of his brilliance. The fabric itself is a masterpiece; luxurious emerald-green and magenta-pink lined silk satin. I adore the boned strapless bodice with over-sized cummerbund belt. The flattering nipped waist met by straight-legged trouser pants create the perfect amount of drama to this timeless piece. The matching hourglass peplum jacket complete with wide lapel-collar and over-sized pockets finish this garment off with a perfect femme fatale vibe. Stunning and very rare documented Nina Ricci haute couture jumpsuit dating back to her 1967 Fall-Winter collection. The French fashion house, known for its feminine, ladylike clothing, has long been the go-to for Parisian chic. To achieve Nina Ricci figure-flattering cuts, the seasoned dressmaker draped on a live mannequin, pinning and snipping with a couturier's care. This breathtaking tailored jumpsuit dress is a perfect example of this brand's genius. The bodice has lean 3/4-length sleeves with a gorgeous mock turtleneck and hourglass nipped waist. I adore the hidden side pockets and sculpted middle front pleat skirting. Such a unique yet timeless design.
