1950's Marcus Brothers top handled coated straw handbag in a bright white with gold and white beading. The bag opens at the top with a gold tone metal door knocker style closure. The interior is lined in black and white vinyl with one open side pocket. The double top handles are fully embellished with rows of white and gold beading. Retailed at David's Fifth Avenue. Perfect little touch of vintage for a Spring and Summer wardrobe. A fun fact ... the handbag came from the Atlanta estate of a fashionable woman who once lived in Hollywood and worked for Lucille Ball and Desilu Productions. CONDITION The handbag is in very good condition with little signs of wear. The gold tone metal closure shows a touch of tarnish giving it a coppery colored finish. The 'David's Fifth Avenue' fabric label is pasted with adhesive on top of the Marcus Brothers medallion and both are loose and might eventually fall off with use. MEASUREMENTS The body of the handbag measures 9" wide x 6" tall x 3.5" deep ... roomy enough for most tech devices. Each handle measures 11" from end to end providing for a 4" drop.
