We Japanese introduce unique items with unique aesthetics, purchasing routes, and ways that no one can imitate. This is what is called a hanging Buddha. (Called kakebutu in Japan) kakebutu is a combination of a circular plate and a Buddha statue, which was hung in a shrine or temple. It can be said to be one of the genres of Japanese cultural properties. And this kakebutu is thought to be from the 14th to 15th centuries. It is from the time of the Muromachi period after the end of the Kamakura period. Originally it was gold, but the color has faded to a black discolored copper color. The name of the Buddha statue is "Yakushi Nyorai". This is a Buddha statue that wishes for people's health, cures illness, and grants wishes. It is characterized by having a container containing medicine in the left hand. And the average size of kakebutu is 7cm-8cm. But this is even smaller, 4 cm tall. It has a cute and gentle face. Also, this circular disc is not the original one. Originally, the copper plates as shown in the last photo (reference material) are paired. This kakebutu circular disc is replaced by a copper mirror from the Han Dynasty (circa 3rd century BC) in China. This bronze mirror has four birds on the back. It is a typical mirror pattern of the Han dynasty. Reference materials are attached. The reference material is also an old mirror from the Han dynasty. The design is slightly different, but the style is the same. please confirm. The same design as this mirror is in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. And this is a combination of the former owners of this Buddha statue. However, these two are very compatible. The whole atmosphere is also in harmony. It is a rare item in Japan. I assure you that this is genuine, not fake. Why don't you hang it on the wall as a talisman? ※Checklist Also, this bronze mirror has one crack. And there is a trace of glue in the center of the bronze mirror (on the right side of kakrbutu). It is possible that this was originally decorated with something else before decorating this Buddha statue. I don't know what it is. The photo is marked with a red circle. please confirm.
