This is an old white horse figurine made in Japan. It was made in the early Showa period (1920s-1940s). The horse shape is made of wood chips and covered with paper. The eyes are made of glass. It is very faithfully and elaborately made. You can feel Japanese craftsmanship. The other white horse in the detailed image is sold separately. From this figurine, we sense the spirit of wabi-sabi, the Japanese philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection and impermanence.
