About the Item
This is a very old Japanese wooden boat.
It is a piece of furniture from the Meiji period (1860s-1900s).
It is made of cedar wood.
We found it in an old house along the overseas in Tohoku region.
According to the original owner, the boat was used to transport salt collected from the sea.
It seems that the boat was pulled by a rope.
Although it has already lost its purpose, it seems to have become a beautiful object with deep flavor and indescribable beauty.
Since it is light in weight, it is recommended to hang it on the wall.
This is a very rare item with a wabi-sabi aesthetic.
