About the Item

It is an ancient pottery made around 600-700 in Japan. The name of this pottery is called "sue-ki". (Sue pottery) This is a hard earthenware called "sueki" (Sue pottery) in Japan. The onset began to be made in sue village in Osaka, and it came to be called sueki. (Meaning of "ki" = pottery) Soft unglazed pottery, which had been baked at low temperatures in Japanese history, has been baked at high temperatures since the 4th century due to the development of kiln technology. Baking at high temperatures makes the pottery harder and harder to crack. The color is light gray pottery. This is a technology that came from the Korean Peninsula. Some of them have a design similar to the pottery of the Korean Peninsula, Some are made by imitating Chinese bronze ware. Born in Osaka, "sueki" is gradually being made in various parts of Japan. It is also called "sage-be" in Japan. I don't know in detail what it was actually used for. It is possible that the seeds of the plant were put in and hung so that they could not be eaten by mice. And the round button-like part was originally ring-shaped. It seems that it was used by hanging a string on the ring. As the times progressed, people at that time stopped hanging. Or, because the string was tied directly to the neck of this pottery and hung, the shape changed to the shape of a peony like this. As the times progress, this button will eventually disappear. Aside from the historical description of this item This is a very cute and lovely pottery. Such a small size is rare. And when it was baked in the kiln, it had a red pattern like this. This is also a good atmosphere. The mouth is missing, but most of the excavated Sue pottery is missing somewhere. This is in good condition. And no water leaks.
