Fabulous and highly detailed Japanese Satsuma stand for bowl, Lantarn holder or brushpot (still doing research, its uncommon but not sure what it is yet). Absolute top quality decoration an pottery. Marked at the base ?? Ryuzan. Condition Overall condition some very minimal wear to gold. Size 75 x 85mm diameter base x height. Diameter rim 45mm Period Meiji Periode (1867-1912).

    A fine and elegant Japanese Satsuma tripod incense burner, koro, with pierced metal lid, signed Eizan (?) Meiji Period, late 19th century, Japan. The koro, or censer, features a stoneware body of slightly compressed globular form, supported on three short and squat legs. The wide mouth with a recessed metal rim, and topped by an openwork metal lid topped with overlapping chrysanthemum blossoms of silver repousse.
