Chinese, Early 20th Century
Height 31cm, diameter 37cm
This charming Chinese antique ceramic jardiniere features nature-inspired patterns. Blossom trees, flowers and birds decorate its surface, in an intricate array above simple geometric cartouches that stem from the base. A painted beaded band sits above the large frieze, while a further scrolling, wave shaped frieze is painted within the rim. A pleasing ceramic piece which can adorn interior or exterior spaces, it is a delightful example of late Qing period decorative design.
