Chinese Export Armorial Soup Plate from Marquis De Almendares Service, 1842 Made for the Cuban Marquis de Almendares Ignacio Herrera in 1842. A rare example of Chinese Export porcelain this Armorial Soup Plate made specifically in 1842 for the distinguished Cuban Nobleman, Marquis de Almendares Ignacio Herrera. This particular example stands out due to its larger size (9.75 -Inch diameter) and remarkable condition, free from any restoration. Adorned with a 'jeweled' coronet (Crown) above the inscription 'Exmo Sor Marques de Almendares' personalizing this plate as commissioned especially for the esteemed Marqués de Almendares. This offering highlights the intricate craftsmanship within the revered rose medallion style. The vibrant enamel work features an array of meticulously detailed floral patterns, accompanied by the graceful presence of butterflies and birds, creating a captivating and harmonious composition.
