Chinese Green Glazed Ceramic "White Oil" Storage Jar / Planter, c. 1900

About the Item

A wonderful green glaze adorns this Early 20th century Chinese ceramic "White Oil" storage jar. The characters on its front side translate to "White Oil". This Jar features a wonderful contrast of green & turquoise pigment. The Jar is visibly old with a large portion of the glazing having worn away over the years. In the modern-day, this would make for a beautiful decorative bowl or as a planter for one's home garden. The marks, stains and fading to the jar that have developed of the decades contributes to its charm.
