Contemporary Japanese Blue Green Red Porcelain Bowl by Master Artist, 2

About the Item

Exceptional Japanese contemporary museum-quality gilded decorative porcelain bowl, intricately hand painted on an elegantly shaped body in red and blue, a signed masterpiece by second-generation master porcelain artist of the Imari-Arita region of Japan. This artist highly admired for his painstakingly detailed portrayal of historical scenes and themes combined with intricate geometric patterns and this stunning piece is a testimony to his mastery in both styles. This striking Porcelain bowl showcases the artist's mastery of both underglaze and polychrome overglaze porcelain enameling techniques. The artist's profile is available upon request. The outer surface of the bowl features a dramatic palette with hydrangeas in full bloom in soft hues of purple, blue, orange and yellow with foliage in green and blue. The vibrant iron-red background accentuates the beauty of the floral scene with intricate old details. The same theme of hydrangea in full bloom is repeated inside the bowl, this time in blue underglaze. The mesmerizing floral pallet of blue and white stands in contrast to the rich colors of the exterior. The top of the rim is decorated with an intricately detailed pattern, drawing the viewer’s attention to the beautiful shape of this exquisite piece. This stunning contemporary hand painted porcelain bowl comes in custom made wooden case signed by the artist. Dimensions: D 11.5 in, H 3.75 in.
