Early 19th Century White Ceramic Casa De Familia Bottle Vase by Josep Mª Jujol

About the Item

Early 19th Century White Ceramic Casa De Familia Bottle Vase by Josep Maria Jujol Materials: Ceramic Dimensions: Diam. 35.56 cm x H 71.12 cm The architect Josep Maria Jujol was Antoni Gaudí's closest collaborator. He designed the Casa de Familia Bottle in 1912, and more than a century later it’s still going strong. The water decanter was designed for the orphanage of the same name. It's a simple and humble piece that magnificently demonstrates all his artistic ability. BD Barcelona design has faithfully reproduced it from the only image still in existence of the original model, the photo was cleverly taken in front of two mirrors which clearly show the sculptural working to the full.
