Hand painted Japanese porcelain Samurai red, yellow blue gold pink

About the Item

Extraordinary and large samurai in hand-painted porcelain with the characteristic habit of the Edo period 1603-1868, when the Tokugawa family ruled Japan. This era is named after the city of Edo, present-day Tokyo. The origin of the samurai dates back to around the 10th century and was strengthened at the end of the Genpei Wars at the end of the 12th century, when a military government was instituted under the figure of the shogun, by which the Emperor of Japan was left in his shadow as a mere spectator. its origin in a variation of the verb, in ancient Japanese, saburau, which means "to serve", so the derived term saburai becomes "those who serve." Around 860, most of the characteristics of the samurai can be seen:horseback riders skilled in the use of the bow, in addition to the use of swords with curved blades. These horseback warriors enjoyed the complete trust of the "Throne." of the Chrysanthemum" and were in charge of the security of the cities, as well as quelling any revolts that occurred. Beautiful hand-painted porcelain with high aesthetic criteria, relief painting, bright colors, pink, red, yellow, blue and gold. Collection piece.
