Chinese Linen Glass Cabinet with Carved Wood

About the Item

A beautiful 20th century solid wood custom linen press with glass door. The cabinet is constructed with three frame members, among them two are inset with choice elm woods that form the sides. The elm woods with grains of swirls and sweeps resemble the Chinese mountain and water scene. The unique front door is made of a pair of carved screens backed with glass. The screens with carved foliage surround a ring of longevity symbols are anchored by four bats in the corners, symbols of good fortune and prosperity. Two removable interior shelves. An elegant apron under the door is flanked by Ming style carved legs. Solid construction and material. A most unique, versatile piece.
