Early 20th Century Chinese Coffer Sideboard with Everted Ends
About the Item
An elmwood coffer sideboard with everted ends from Beijing, China. Finished with a clear matte lacquer over its original reddish brown color, the crackled finish on the lacquer adds to the charm of this cabinet. The doors and centre stile are removable. There are relief carving of flowers and leaves on the spandrels. Even though the solid brass hardware have been replaced, they are very close to how it would have looked originally.
