Japanese Antique Chair Cherry Wood 1950s-1960s Primitive Japandi
About the Item
This is an old Japanese dining chair.
The frame is made of cherry wood.
The pattern on the backrest is decorated with marquetry.
It was made around the middle of the Showa era.
Japan did not have a culture of sitting on chairs, so there are not many old chairs.
The seat, cushion, and construction have been restored.
The seat has been reupholstered with old dead stock cotton linen fabric.
Although it is dead stock, there are age-related stains due to storage.
