Japanese Antique Stand Mirror 1890s Marquetry Wabi-Sabi

About the Item

This is a Japanese stand mirror. It was made around the Meiji period (1890). The materials used are good and it is very elaborately made. Although some parts, such as the marquetry, are missing, you can see that it was made with great care and time. All frame patterns are hand drawn. It has one drawer. The drawers have been restored so they can open and close smoothly. The mirror part has been replaced with a new one, so the reflection is clear.
