Japanese Old Small Wooden Drawer / 1912-1950 / Accessory Case/ Taisho-Showa

About the Item

It is a small drawer from the Taisho era to the early Showa period (1912-1950) in Japan. The outer material is made of chestnut. The inside is cedar wood. It's very cute. Also, the chestnut grain is very beautiful. And although the handle looks like glass or plastic, it's actually made of wood. As people touched this part with their fingers, it became glossy. The sides are openworked in the image of a pine tree. Pine has a good auspicious meaning, so it often appears in Japanese paintings. Drawers can be taken in and out smoothly. This is a recommended item. Weight: 4.1kg.
