Japanese Small Wooden Box with Beautiful Wood Grain Made of Mulberry

About the Item

This is a small storage box for storing old Japanese tea utensils. It is called [kikyoku] in Japanese. This wooden box comes in a variety of materials and designs. Among them, mulberry trees are often used. Mulberry is a high-class wood that has been used for small furniture, especially high-class furniture, in Japan for a long time. The feature is that the grain of wood is beautiful. This [kikyoku] also uses Mulberry. It is a very luxurious item. Depending on the part of the item, there are small stains due to aging.
