Pair of Painted Late 18th Century Chinese Chairs
About the Item
This as an unusual painted pair of late 18th century Chinese chairs. The back splat is painted with a floral design, which is reminiscent of folk art. The shape of the seat is a geometric fan shape. These chairs are from the Shanxi province of China and the wood is Pine. Repairs were made in the life of the chairs, using handmade metal fasteners which adds to the color patina of the chairs.
