We are delighted to offer for sale this exquisite and exceptionally rare 19th century Chinese red lacquer cabinet on stand
A good looking and decorative piece, this is circa 1860-1880, hand painted and lacquered with multiple layers to the finish. This pieces is absolutely timeless and a very rare and collectable find
This type of furniture became very popular with English aristocrats and high society in the mid-late 18th century when Asian influence was making its way to our shores. The likes of Thomas Chippendale pretty much the finest cabinet maker in history was working with these designs
The condition is period perfect, a lovely patination all over, there are no losses, this is simply glorious
