Timeworn Chinese Eight Immortals Table

About the Item

Antique Chineses Eight Immortals Table likely from the Northern Shandong region. Originally used with four benches, each holding two people. The table was probably cut down from dining to Cocktail Table height to appeal to a Western market. With a stripped top and traditional form legs and apron retaining the original reddish stain in which the graining can be clearly seen. Well made and Rustic with Chinese characters printed in Green on the underside of the top. Dimensions: 39.25” seep by 39” wide by 19” high. Condition: Please see detail photos. As stated above, the table is quite worn with a stripped top having scratches, some gouging, old marks and fading. The legs with some chipping and sporadic finish losses which do not detract from the humble and timeworn Rustic Chinese presentation.
