About the Item
Reminiscent of Wertheimer's theories, Nucleus operates a segmentation of the perceptual field that also occurs according to the mnemonic stores of each individual's past, so as to favor the imaginary completion of objects with which familiarity is maintained. Already potentially known bodies capable of generating entities contrary to superficially known or everyday commonplace forms.
"Boolean" is a testament to the constant balance between precision and unpredictability on which Studio Nucleo's research is based, often straddling visions of the future and memories of the past. Such research emerges precisely in the choice of geometric shapes and numerical proportions, aimed at the empirical understanding of space and time. Nucleus plays with these concepts, redefining the fate of a work of art through the addition of elements that create a dynamic interaction between the original form and its transformation, integrating to the creative process the operations of subtraction, intersection, and union that are characteristic of Boolean algebra. The result is a harmonious mixture of various technical and conceptual elements, encapsulated in the abstract form, in which the original objects remain preserved and transformed.
