Japanese Antique Big "Double Giant Koi" Cast Bronze Vase, Signed and Boxed
A fine Japanese hand cast tall bronze "Double Giant Koi" Hu form vase- the koi symbolic of affection and love, prosperity, perseverance and good fortune. Fine condition. Features two swimming koi and waves, finely cast on the surface and extending to the back side. Today these works of art serve as wonderful decorative accents or for dried flower arrangements. It is double signed on the side and bottom of the vase and the signed wood collector storage box tomobako is included. Dimensions: 12.5 inches high and 8 inches in diameter. Lovely old patina- just the way we like to find them. Taisho period 1915 Only one. Provenance: Old Northern Kyoto collection.
