An antique Japanese gilt copper lidded jar with cloisonne enamel design. Large Antique Meiji Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Covered Jar with Butterflies Goto Early Meiji period, after 1868. Upright ovoid shape. Turquoise blue ground color. Butterfly motif and patterned borders. Globe finial on top of the lid. Presumably a work of Goto Seizaburo, active ca. 1870s to 1880s, a Japanese cloisonne artist. Collectible Oriental Asian Decor For Interior Design, Tableware And Serveware. OVERALL GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION. SIGNS OF WEAR AND AGE. REFER TO PHOTOS. OVERALL H 8 IN. ALL MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROXIMATE.
