A fine quality Japanese cloisonne covered koro or incense burner, Meiji era, 1868 to 1912. The piece features cloisonne handles and cover. The exterior is decorated with various designs including floral motifs and takara-mono - precious things- symbols of wealth, longevity, wisdom, beauty, harmony, purity, and protection from ill-omen. A large antique Japanese late Meiji era covered Totai enamel on porcelain ginger jar. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. The ware is enameled with a polychrome fan shaped medallions with blossoming flowers, and butterflies, surrounded by floral and butterfly wings patterns made in the Cloisonne technique.
