Pair of cloisonné Zhuang Guan vases, China, 18th Century. The Chinese name of this covered vase type is Zhuang Guan. The earliest mention of this shape is in the Shuowen, a kind of dictionary written in the 2nd Century. This shape has been used again during the Ming and Qing Dynasty, as old time revival had a great influence on decorative arts. These Cloisonné vases are decorated with swimming ducks among lotus flowers. Borders are decorated with geometric designs and bats, symbols of happiness. The motif on the cover is called Baoxianghua. It's a flower design with scrolls and symbolize Buddhism. Heigh: 29cm, diameter: 15cm. China, 18th Century. 中国，景泰蓝壮罐（一对），18世纪 “壮罐”由来已久，东汉《说文》中曾对它的造型及用途进行过描述。清代尙古之风盛行，工匠将该样式重新运用于景泰蓝的设计之中，以器型之古拙运装饰之精细，独具匠心。该景泰蓝壮罐罐身，饰有水景游鸭、花间蝶舞的自然之趣，口沿底足处为蝠纹回纹等吉祥纹样；罐盖饰有缠枝及宝相花图案，细腻精致，寓意吉祥。高：29cm，直径：15cm 中国，18世纪 Zhuang Guan est le nom donné à une ancienne forme pot couvert chinois de forme allongée resserrée au col et au pied et surmonté d'un couvercle bombé. Cette forme est déjà mentionnée dans le Shuowen (sorte de dictionnaire écrit en 121ap J C). Cette forme fut utilisée à nouveau par les artisans de la fin des Ming et pendant la dynastie des Qing. En effet cette période est caractérisée par une volonté d?€?étude des objets anciens qui influence les formes artistiques. Les artisans choisissent alors des formes anciennes et rares pour fabriquer les porcelaines et les bronzes. Cette paire de vases utilise la technique des émaux cloisonnés. La base et le col ornés de motifs géométriques auquel s'ajoutent une frise de chauves souris, symbole de bonheur, encadrent un décor en continu de canards nageant parmi des fleurs de lotus. Le couvercle bombé est orné du motif Bao xiang Hua, fleur symbolique du Bouddhisme. La bordure est ornée de grecques. La prise en forme de boule ainsi que l'intérieur du couvercle et le dessous sont dorés. Hauteur: 29cm, diamètre: 15cm. Chine, 18ème siècle.
